H2M Group Data Science/GIS Intern in Manassas, Virginia

The candidate will be able to work with little supervision to create an Agile Development Environment that can be easily imported between networks.

As a Data Science Intern, you will use your programming skills, GIS skills, and knowledge in a variety of challenging and rewarding data science areas such as: using specialized python modules to do statistical analysis; computer infrastructure to create easy import and export of projects; interview analysts and research options for future projects to find marketable customer solutions. With training and mentorship, you will help H2M Group create an easy to use environment for software development and then provide potential solutions to customer problems. These solutions could include papers with proposals as well as prototype python modules and graphical presentations.

As an Intern you will gain valuable data science experience and provide prospective business enterprises. Working remotely with other Data Scientists and Analysts, you will be challenged to use your talents in the data science arena and deliver innovative and agile solutions in support of H2M Group’s mission.

Job Requirements:

Full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduate degree in one of the following fields or related studies:

Data Science

Geospatial Intelligence

GIS

Statistics

Computer Science

Working towards completing their degree in approximately 12 months.

Willing to apply for a clearance.

GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale

Attending school on a full-time basis before/following this internship

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Exceptional computer and technical knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to research sources and reduce duplication of work

Must be a United States citizen and able to obtain a clearance
