Business Operations Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as the lead business operations professional analyzing contract financial management services for multiple contracts and delivery orders in a client account. Work as part of a program management office with internal clients and business partner colleagues to resolve financial, contractual, and administrative issues. Maintain responsibility for analyzing financial management, including preparing and analyzing monthly and bi-monthly financial reports and cost-to-completes. Review, reconcile, and audit financial data, including labor, travel, and ODCs, for accuracy of cost and expenditures, perform analytical financial analyses per contract and program manager’s requirements, analyze trend financial data to manage and mitigate contractual risk by ensuring relevant contract terms and conditions, provide analysis on LOE, funding and ceiling versus expenditures, and job profit, identify financial and contractual risks, and provide recommendations, as appropriate. Multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced changing environment and work collaborative across internal and external teams.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience in program, project, and contract financial management, including in government contracting

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

-Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and their effective use in a financial tracking, analysis, and reporting environment

-Knowledge of FAR and DFAR rules and contract regulations

-Ability to discuss and resolve administrative and financial issues effectively within a team environment

-Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced changing environment

-Active Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree or 8+ years of experience in a program control role in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) rules and guidelines

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
