Chewy Human Resources Compliance Analyst in Dania Beach, Florida

Our Opportunity:

The Human Resources Compliance Analyst is a part of the HR Operations department at our fast-paced, dynamic Dania Beach, FL. This role is responsible for advising on how to administer HR Operations and Compliance duties for the HR team at our headquarters sites and fulfillment centers. This person will serve as the subject matter expert for the following but not limited to: I9 compliance, EEO Reporting, workers compensation, OSHA, employment/unemployment, ACA compliance, social security administration reviews, auditor requests and labor laws. This person will enforce compliance with state and federal laws in addition to company policies. What you’ll do:

  • Establishes and evaluates HR compliance programs including but not limited to I-9 Management, Immigration, EEO-1 Reporting, Affirmative Action Planning, document retention and internal HR functional audits.

  • Audits I9 forms and supporting documentation via a third party online application for completeness and accuracy following federal requirements.

  • Prepares I9 exception reporting and notify locations of non-compliant I9 following audit results. Monitors to ensure that final resolution is attained.

  • Assists HR team with inquiries regarding questions regarding the I9 process and compliance.

  • Understands OSHA and EEO reporting requirements and work with partners to ensure all compliance responsibilities. Work with internal partners to execute.

  • Finds opportunities to streamline business processes and recommend procedural changes.

  • Works with internal/external auditors to complete audit requests and test processes.

  • Ensures compliance and consistency on all pre-hire and on-boarding requirements.

  • Provides continuous improvement recommendations to HR leadership for changes to HR compliance and operational processes and process documentation.

  • Works with government agencies, third-party vendors and external legal counsel as needed to execute responsibilities.

  • Manages and delivers required compliance training to human resources team members and employees partnering with L\u0026amp;amp;D department.

What you’ll need:

  • BA or BS required with at least 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with an emphasis on compliance, risk, legal and/or operations. Experience can be substituted for education.

  • Previous experience with I9 compliance preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.

  • Strong analytical and writing skills, along with strong attention to details.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and proficient with Excel; ADP system experience preferred.

  • Good at working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and ensure completion of tasks.

  • May require travel
