Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a Configuration Management Manager that is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Duties may include ensuring configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations and preparing deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met. Influences development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results. Recommends and develops new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of functions strategy and operations. Leads and manages works of other technical staff that has significant impact on project results/outputs.

The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are: IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); and National Military Command Center (NMCC). The senior leaders and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, challenging, but also rewarding environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide an industry best practice capability for:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive Enterprise Configuration Item Listing (e.g., servers, routers, switches) that comprises the enterprise network system.

  • Maintaining an accurate architecture topology and logical diagrams of local, regional, AF, and DoD systems required to deliver AFNCR services.

  • Develop and maintain technology modernization and lifecycle management process for enterprise devices.

  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate SOPs and WIs needed to sustain or restore enterprise systems and services which includes a hierarchical prioritization of core services.

  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate summary reports from analytical data created by all monitoring tools.

  • Devise, maintain, and coordinate an enterprise configuration management database for all locally maintained systems that:

a. Identifies, defines, and baselines AFNCR configuration items (CI)

b. Controls modifications and releases of CIs.

c. Reports and records status of CIs and any requested modifications

d. Ensures completeness, consistency, and correctness of CIs.

e. Controls storage, handling, and delivery of the CIs.

f. Supports users in meeting mission requirements by managing and updating user access rights and data schemas.


Basic Qualifications:

-BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years or prior relevant experience.

-Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military experience and comfortable working with Senior Military Leaders in a faced paced environment.

  • Clearance: TS Eligible
