CDPHP Commercial Sales Facilitated Enroller in Albany, New York

The Commercial Sales Facilitated Enroller has the primary responsibility to assist individuals/families in enrolling in CDPHP Commercial Plans. These plans include, but may not limited to, our Essential Plan, New York State of Health On Exchange plans and Off Exchange plans. Secondary responsibility is to assist individuals/families enrolling in non-Commercial plans which include, but may not be limited to, Medicaid plans and Medicare plans. This includes reviewing taxes, payroll stubs, and other income documents and reviewing eligibility within Health Benefits Exchange (NY State of Health) and EMEDNY systems according to NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH) guidelines and/or commercial underwriting guidelines as needed. The Commercial Sales Facilitated Enroller duties will also include conducting outreach and enrollment calls, working directly with customers to assist them with completing their applications, assisting with the NYSOH process. The Commercial Sales Facilitated Enroller will also handle renewals over the phone, and, as needed, customer service events, or additional questions. All Commercial Sales Facilitated Enrollers must conduct themselves in accordance with regulations and instruction set forth by CDPHP, NYS and the Federal government. They must also obtain certification as Marketplace Facilitated Enrollers in the NYSOH application process and maintain this certification.


  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.

  • NYS Life, Accident and Health license required or obtained within 60 days of employment

  • Marketplace Facilitated Enroller certification and Certified Application Counselor certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

  • Minimum of 3 year employment experience in a health insurance setting required

  • 1 year experience in benefits, sales or Government Programs required.

  • Ability to interpret and make decisions based on corporate underwriting guidelines, as well as State of New York & Federal statutes relating to healthcare administration.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with external and internal contacts both verbally and via written correspondence.

  • Strong system research and analysis skills; deductive and creative thinking.

  • Strong attention to detail and capability to meet established productivity and quality standards.

  • Ability to effectively manage time with multiple task assignments.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation. If driving a vehicle for CDPHP business, employee must have valid driver’s license, current inspection and appropriate insurance coverage in effect at all times.
