Description

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities split 80% Maintenance/Grounds and 20% Reproduction Department.

Provide maintenance and minor repair of office building and warehouse facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, drywall and construction; minor janitorial duties. Contact service providers to ensure quality and timely repairs, maintain

repair records.

Provide minor grounds maintenance, including shoveling and salting, leaf blowing, snow blowing, some snow plowing, and minor outdoor maintenance of lawns, landscaping, and parking lots. Coordinate with service providers for landscaping, snow removal, and grounds

repairs.

Maintain 3 company vehicles. Inspect vehicles regularly, complete vehicle inspection reports, provide preventative maintenance.

Set up/breakdown conference rooms for meetings and events. Build cubicles, move and arrange office furniture. Spot clean upholstery and carpets.

Sort mail, prepare mail and packages for delivery and shipping; greet delivery providers.

Deliver documents and packages to post office and clients as needed. Purchase and pick up parts and materials needed to perform maintenance duties. Bring vehicles to providers for servicing.

Assisting in the Reproduction Department during peak periods. Scan, print, bind, and collate documents. Assist employees with office supply needs; request supplies from providers.

Implement maintenance projects to continuously improve the facility structure, safety, and company assets.

Comply with OSHA Safety Standards and company safety rules at all times.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Display “can do” attitude. Take pride and ownership in role.

Highly motivated with demonstrated desire to go above and beyond in providing high level of service to employees and visitors. Willingness to assist others.

Strong problem solving skills. Able to identify a need and take action to resolve, without being asked.

Basic understanding of preventive maintenance.

Basic HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, drywall, construction and janitorial skills. HVAC certification is a plus.

Ability to operate motor vehicles and power tools safely and effectively.

Solid history of dependability, attendance, and job performance.

Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.

Demonstrated basic computer skills.

Ability to lift and move 50-70lbs. repeatedly. Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a daily basis.

Minimum Education & Experience Required:

High school diploma or its equivalent.

3-5 years of experience in general maintenance/grounds position.

Ability to pass a DMV check.

Ability to flex schedule to accommodate seasonal hours (7am-4pm summer, 6am-3pm winter) and occasionally work additional hours as needed.
