36 hrs/pp; 3p-9p, every other weekend, rotating holidays
Performs registration duties requiring independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to work performed. Responsible for obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Medical terminology preferred. One to two year post high school training in clerical, secretarial, or business area preferred. EXPERIENCETwo years prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinic or hospital preferred. Billing and claims resolution and customer service preferred. Customer service skills are essential. Good verbal and written communications skills required.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSIf working in a Recovery Plus area:Any persons who have direct client contact must have been free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems include the following:1. Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff2. qualification requirements;3. Chemical use that has a negative impact on the employee's job performance;4. Chemical use that affects the credibility of the treatment services with clients, referral sources or other members of the community; and5.
