Key Qualifications

  • Leading Contract Manufacturing (CM) or Supplier operations team(s) in planning and executing development builds and change management.

  • Driving ramp readiness with engineering, operations and CM teams, and managing capacity to meet demand.

  • Identifying and managing key components to meet build readiness and part availability, quality, and costs. Communicating system requirements and schedules to facilitate technical readiness with cross-functional supply chain teams.

  • Influencing product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of low cost and maximum flexibility while stewarding the superior product quality expected of Apple products.

  • Managing operations-related communications, upward and downward through the organization; escalating key issues and present options for resolution to operations management and the cross-functional teams.Description

The Operations Program Manager (OPM) launches products on time and with superior product. OPM's are pivotal to the fast-paced development and launch of products. A successful OPM is a natural leader and facilitator; is dynamic, driven, organized and detail oriented; excels in program/project management; communicates with ease at all levels; thrives in an ambiguous environment and is adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. This individual is a component leader within operations acts as an operations interface to the core product development team and other functional organizations within Apple. Overall mission is a successful product launch defined by meeting stated schedule, availability and customer experience goals.


•BS in Engineering. MBA preferred.

Additional Requirements

•Frequent travel expected (>30%).

•5-10 years experience in Operations Management; Significant, results and detail focused, leadership experience; prior CM management and automotive experience a plus

•Knowledgeable of Operations Management, Process Control, SOP, Traceability, MES, and other quality control tools.

•Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to highest levels of management.

•Ability to drive solutions across multiple cross-functional teams and the supply chain.
