A certified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is needed for an open position with a Nevada School District. Job Details:The position will cover multiple schools and students grades K-12. Travel during the school day will be involved, but mileage will be reimbursed. ASL is preferred but not required; sign language interpreters are on staff and will be available in the classroom. Both inclusion and self-contained classrooms will be included in the caseload. Teacher of the Deaf should be comfortable co-teaching or teaching a classroom on their own. This is a full-time position. Job Requirements:A Nevada teaching certificate with Deaf education endorsement will be required before beginning this assignment. DHH teacher should currently possess similar licensure in at least one other state if Nevada certification is not currently in hand. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but new graduates who meet the minimum education and certification requirements will be considered.
