This position will need to help lead standing up overall Agile testing processes in various areas and assist testing needs as assigned. In this role, the incumbent will work directly with UAT planning office and shift to assigned testing focus needs for various business and support areas. It will be required to have the ability to translate requirements for new products and current system enhancements across all Sallie Mae Bank operational areas to technology and third party vendors. The incumbent may work with all areas of the company to help coordinate new UAT transition process and procedures. They will need to be prepared to assist with tracking system issues via trouble tickets that identify discrepancies that impact the business productivity and/or effectiveness, costs to the company, data integrity and compliance with regulations and requirements. The incumbent will review technical documents and write Test Plans and Test Cases for User Acceptance Testing. They perform the end-user testing requirements of system changes resulting from system enhancements or production fixes. This role will help lead developing and executing testing procedures that align to changes in delivery practices such as Agile vs Waterfall, as well as support short and long term UAT changes and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

User Acceptance Testing, Operational and Statistical Support

Translate Business and Technical documents to create User Acceptance Test Plans and Test Cases.

Perform User Acceptance Testing.

Advise, lead and at time execute on Agile testing practices for assigned areas.

Build end to end testing library's for assigned areas.

Utilize historical data and lessons learned to mature Agile state and execution in assigned areas.

Serves as a resource to the user community regarding system issues and account resolution. Work with the business areas to identify short term and/or long term workarounds that are the least disruptive to operations and most effective.

Maintain all project related procedures.

Business Analysis

Participates with management and appropriate stakeholders to elicit, define, and accurately translate business requests into requirements.

Apply critical and strategic thinking while developing solution alternatives that achieve the value expectations of the business areas.

Review requirements, capture priorities, and ensure all requirements are understood and documented to effectively write Test Plan and Test Cases.

Work closely with UAT central office to escalate up testing obstacles or challenges realized related to systems, environments, practices or procedures being used.

Technical Analysis & Support

Performs user acceptance testing for various methodologies.

Manages testing of assigned projects to account for bugs, short and long term risk, and potential bug deferral impacts.

Identification of downstream impacts, needed to be accounted for, in testing.

Requirements Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field and/or equivalent work experience

Experience:

2+ years of experience in the consumer loan industry

1+ year of user testing awareness or experience

Experience in analyzing requirements and matching against business requests, for accuracy of interpretation

Demonstrated experience understanding a structured process and analyzing the impacts of change to it

Packaging documented material together and presenting on it to small and large audiences

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time
