Kforce Project Manager SDLC in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Kforce has a client seeking a Project Manager SDLC in Greenwood Village, Colorado (CO).Essential Functions:

  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK]), ANSI, and ISO standards)

  • Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance management and reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives; Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements; Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan

  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans; Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management

  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation; Provides in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans

  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and leadership, and input of team member performance to management, where appropriate

Scrum Master Expectations:

  • Coaches the team to create better Solutions, improve the business results, and better their process

  • Facilitates and helps facilitate team and Agile Release Train program events

  • Removes impediments to the teams progress

  • Assists the team in implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and in their work with other teams who might or might not be using SAFe

  • Fosters adoption of Agile technical practices

  • Assists the Product Owner in preparing and refining the backlog for PI and Iteration Planning

  • Coaches the Agile Team on the best ways to refine the backlog and create stories

  • Experience working with Agile scrum and Waterfall methodologies

  • Experience leading projects distributed across global teams with large time zone differences

  • Experience leading through all phases of a software project life-cycle

  • Experience managing customer contract-based projects and Suppliers

  • Good organization and communication skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours with some travel required

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework, Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies

  • Experience leading DevOps and Software Quality Assurance Test Teams

  • Understanding of N-Tiered architecture, data processing, web and mobile development

  • Experience performing the scrum master role on an agile team

  • Experience with the Contour JAMA, JIRA, Primavera, MS Project
