Work independently with investigators and clinicians in the design, implementation and analyses of research studies.Develop goals, methodology and procedures to be carried out.Provide in-depth analysis of studies using a variety of statistical methods and prepare interpretive reports.Devise and document new approaches to statistical analyses.Conduct seminars on statistical analyses, as appropriate.Act as a technical resource and provide guidance to support personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Requires the completion of a Masters degree in Biostatistics or Statistics in order to research independently and provide publishable reports and analyses.At least eight to ten years experience in applied biostatistics consulting is required.Familiarity with statistical software packages and ability to work with a computer, including some programming skills to develop new statistical techniques, is required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to interact with various levels of research and clinical staff and to prepare written summaries for research grants and scientific manuscripts.Previous supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
