The Payment Engineering Analyst position will be responsible for multiple USD wire transfer static data & programming functions. Candidate must have CitiFT experience and understand payment flows.
Largely involved with innovation, Payment Engineering receives and executes payment project initiatives for the bank. Projects come from a number of sources, Product management, CitiFT Technology, Client Services, external banking institutions such as SWIFT, CHIPS, and the Federal Reserve, and GPO itself. Payment Engineering team also generates projects recognizing opportunities and shortfalls in the Citibank payment processing capabilities.
Projects include, but are not limited to, efforts to increase STP, enhancing the CitiFT product by creating new functions and features, and direct generation of revenue. They write requirements for new CitiFT Change Requests, and they also review and approve all functional Change Requests on behalf of GPO. Once written, Payment Engineering is responsible for ensuring the new enhancements are delivered by the Technology teams and the external vendors that support our applications. They work with groups external to GPO, including CitiFT Support, Product, Billing, Worldlink Operations, members of the Business Support Group, and market managers from Citi regions worldwide. Payment Engineering is an interface between the business needs of the bank and the functional capabilities of CitiFT. They are the architects of complex CitiFT setups, including the rules that drive the Preferred IBK and Multi-Currency Gateway initiatives.
Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with strong understanding of USD, Worldlink and Canadian payment flows. Strong aptitude with account principles and the ability to understand how financial transactions affect the business and revenue. Understands regulatory environments including KYC, AML, and OFAC. Demonstrated history of payment formats, processing, and database management in order to initiate database and profile changes. Candidate is able to work both independently and as a team with the ability to lead. Must have strong PC skills including MS Windows, Word, Excel, SQL Language and Access. Possesses excellent interpersonal, business writing, and verbal/presentation skills.
Must be able to work occasional weekends.
