Johns Hopkins University Sr. Research Data Manager in Baltimore, Maryland
Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays (21 hours/wk)
The Senior Research Data Manager will lead a complex, multi-site, longitudinal study. Will be responsible for oversight of complex data organization, data synthesis and reconciliation, and reporting and presentation of research data to key stakeholders including NIH organized committees.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the provision of information about how MACS and WIHS variables map to instruments
• Create reports about MACS and WIHS data, variable explanations across the 30 years of data collection and numerous data instrument changes
• Assist with data integration and centralization efforts.
• Interact with CDIS standard development and data harmonization committee.
• Manage multiple staff working on this project
• Supporting exploration of how data and website will best work for public and participants
• Oversee creation of longitudinal complex requested databases to send to study collaborators
• Find and synthesize information on changing data collection across the lifespan of the study, and to develop related manuals and supporting documentation to explain changes in collected variable wording and data categories.
• Serve as a primary study contact to numerous external parties with questions about study data and changes in this data over time. Independently find answers to their questions and provide these answers to them.
• Produce descriptive reports, including tables and graphs
• Perform quality assurance on data
• Write code to perform statistical and epidemiological analysis for research questions, manuscripts, and contract/grant submissions
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience. Must have knowledge of longitudinal MACS data collected.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
